Photo-Christopher Patchb. 1974

Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Portland, ME. He received his BFA in Printmaking from Maine College of Art and an MFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His practice often employs print making in the creation of his paintings, collages and sculptures. Imagery and ideas are pulled from such histories as folk art, textiles, natural history representation and Modernism itself. Over the past fifteen years, he has exhibited his work in galleries and museums throughout the US, Canada and Europe. For more information, see www.christopherpatch.com.

For the 17tugs portfolio, Patch's #3 block may be modest in size but is mighty indeed!  Click mages below to view this little tug and his abstract #13; not affiliated with any project, it is representative of his greater oeuvre.
